Membership Options

Basic

$100 per month

Take-in/take-out, no shelf space. Perfect for potters who work on smaller pieces to carry with them.

  • Shelf: Not included

  • Clay: Bring your own or purchase studio clay at $2 per pound

  • Glazes: Glaze is included with studio clay purchases. If using external clay, bring your own glazes or $25 add-on to your membership to access our studio glazes

  • Firings: If using outside clay, you can rent our kiln for your firing needs

$175 per month

Ideal for members who use less than 25 pounds of clay per month or would like to use different clay outside of the ones we carry.

  • Shelf: Personal shelf space included

  • Glazes: Glaze is included with studio clay purchases. If using external clay, bring your own glazes or $25 add-on to your membership to access our studio glazes

$195 per month (Best Value)

All-inclusive access to the studio, equipment, personal shelf space, clay, glazes, and firing. Best value for dedicated potters looking for complete flexibility.

  • Glazes: Included with studio clay

  • Additional clay can be purchased for $2 per pound and includes glazes and firings 

  • Please submit a form HERE if you plan to use outside clay. This is so that we can ensure it won't ruin other members' pieces and/or our kilns.

  • What is an FAQ section?
    An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about your business like "Where do you ship to?", "What are your opening hours?", or "How can I book a service?".
  • Where can I add my FAQs?
    FAQs can be added to any page on your site or to your Wix mobile app, giving access to members on the go.
  • Is there a discount on classes for members?
    Classes and membership are separate. However, members can cancel their membership during a class and rejoin later. We also occasionally offer workshops that we try to keep at an accessible cost to encourage continued learning with members.
  • How do I cancel my membership?
    To cancel, email us at info@mudsocietypottery.com. You’ll receive instructions for clearing your shelf. Cancellations must be submitted before the 1st of the month with a 30-day notice. Cancellations are not prorated.
  • How do I request a guest pass?
    Guest passes are $25 per guest (max 1 guest per visit, 2 pounds of clay per guest). Fill out the request form [here], and we’ll confirm within 2-3 days. Same-day requests may not be fulfilled.
  • Can I pause my membership?
    We do not offer membership pauses. You may cancel after 3 months.
  • How do I become a member?
    To sign up, visit us in person. Confirm availability by emailing info@mudsocietypottery.com.
  • What are the membership guidelines or policies?
    Familiarize yourself with our policies on the membership form. Click [here] to review.
  • What are the requirements to become a member?
    Members must have previously taken a class with us, be comfortable working independently, and responsible for cleaning up. If you have experience from another studio, please note it on the membership form, and we’ll assess it on a case-by-case basis.
  • I’m confused or surprised by how my piece turned out. Who do I talk to?
    If you’re unsure or surprised by how your piece turned out, don’t hesitate to reach out! Send us photos and any relevant details. We’re here to help, providing guidance on cone 6 firing expectations and troubleshooting tips when things don’t go as planned. Having the photos is incredibly helpful for us in assessing the situation. Plus, we have a network of experienced potters and kiln experts who can assist with nearly any issue, and many of us have specific knowledge about certain clays or glazes.
